Samsung introduces the S Pen Creator Edition for $99 in the US

Samsung has introduced its premium S Pen, known as the S Pen Creator Edition, in the United States, available for $99.99. This Creator Edition, previously available in Europe, offers substantial enhancements compared to previous S Pen models.

To begin with, it is larger and more comfortable for drawing and writing tasks. It boasts an impressive 4,096 levels of pressure sensitivity, on par with the S Pen for the S23 Ultra, but also incorporates a 60° tilt angle, enhancing the drawing experience.

The S Pen Creator Edition is compatible with a range of Samsung Galaxy phones, starting from the Galaxy Note10 and above, as well as the entire Galaxy S series. However, it’s worth noting that it does not support the Galaxy Z Fold series due to its retractable tip requirement.

Additionally, this stylus conveniently attaches magnetically to the side of Galaxy Tab S models and is battery-free, eliminating the need for regular charging. It also offers a single button on its side for versatile functions within various applications.

Furthermore, the S Pen Creator Edition is rated IPX4 for splash resistance, providing durability, unlike the IP68-rated mobile S Pen.

At a price point of $99.99, the S Pen Creator Edition sits between Apple’s $129 Apple Pencil and the recently introduced $79 Apple Pencil USB-C. Nevertheless, Apple’s extensive selection of iPad apps remains a notable advantage for its stylus.
