Discover the enhanced sunset photography in the latest vivo X100 color variant

    Updated on November 23, 2023

The upcoming vivo X100 series promises to capture stunning sunset photos with the help of its advanced camera technology. Jia Jingdong, the VP and chief of branding at vivo, recently unveiled some key specifications for these phones on Weibo.

These specifications include the powerful Dimensity 9300 chipset and the vivo V3 ISP, designed to enhance photos taken with Zeiss-branded T*-coated lens cameras.

One intriguing feature Jia mentioned is the phone’s ability to capture pictures of the moon. It’s not actual moon photography but rather a form of “calculation photography.” The phone leverages data about the moon’s position and phase to create high-quality imagery.

To make things even more fascinating, Jia shared some sample images taken with the periscope lens and shorter telephoto camera, showcasing the phone’s photographic prowess.

Jia also boldly claimed that the vivo X100 phones would be capable of taking realistic photos of the sun during sunset. Achieving this involves overcoming the challenges posed by the sun’s intense brightness.

While direct sunlight during the day is extremely bright, it’s significantly less intense during sunrise and sunset. The vivo ISP is expected to address this challenge by isolating the sun, processing the rest of the image, and enhancing the sun itself, resulting in stunning sunset photos.

This isn’t a new feature for Vivo smartphones, as the X90 Pro already excelled in capturing sunrise and sunset moments. With the addition of this year’s Mediatek flagship chipset, the vivo X100 Pro is poised to take this capability to the next level.

Additionally, the smartphone’s design is noteworthy, featuring a captivating orange color and a textured vegan leather finish, adding a touch of luxury to the device. We look forward to learning more about the vivo X100 series and its exciting features as the official unveiling approaches on November 13.

Stay tuned for updates in the days leading up to the event.
