In 2024, Samsung’s upcoming flagship smartphones, including the Galaxy S24 series, Flip6, and Fold6, are set to receive a tailored version of the high-performance Snapdragon chip, known as the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 for Galaxy.
This specialized chipset will boast the Adreno 750 GPU running at an impressive 1,000 MHz, marking a significant 28% increase in clock speed compared to the previous model found in the Galaxy S23 series, the Adreno 740 with a peak output of 719 MHz.
While Qualcomm has yet to officially confirm the clock speed of the standard Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 GPU, it raises the question of whether the Galaxy-exclusive version will bring an upgrade to the GPU or focus on boosting the CPU performance.
Furthermore, within the Galaxy S24 family, there will be a division, with some models utilizing the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC and others employing the Exynos 2400 chip.
Recent speculations suggest that the Snapdragon chip will power the Galaxy S24 Ultra globally, while the other two phones will feature it in select markets. Meanwhile, the Exynos 2400 will be the preferred chipset for the S24 and S24+ in Europe and South Korea.
These enhancements promise an exciting performance upgrade for Samsung’s 2024 flagships, catering to users around the world.
